WBJEE 2019: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts the entrance exam WBJEE every year. This year, WBJEE is going to conduct for the upcoming session of 2019 2020. There are many candidates who appear in the exam. They will apply for it in order to take admission in engineering and pharmacy-related courses.

Candidates must check the detailed information when they apply for it. They must check the eligibility criteria. Only eligible candidates will be considered for admission. At any stage, if any candidate is found to be ineligible, then he/she will be debarred from the admission process. So, before applying to check the information. Check the exam pattern and syllabus too for the preparation of entrance exam.

WBJEE 2019 – Exam Date

  • Commencement of submission of online application form along with application fee: 26th December 2018
  • Last date for the submission of online application form along with the application fee: 22nd January 2019
  • The release of WBJEE Admit Card: 14th May 2019
  • Date of WBJEE 2019: 26th May 2019
    • Paper 1: 11:00 AM – 01:00 PM
    • Paper 2: 02:00 AM- 04:00 PM
  • Declaration of the result: 2nd July 2019

WBJEE 2019 – Eligibility

  • An aspirant must be a citizen of the country.
  • The minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years as on 31st December 2019. There is no upper age limit.
  • For Engineering Courses:
    • Aspirants must have passed class 12th with Mathematics and Physics along with Technical Vocational Subject/Computer Application/Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry as their compulsory subject.
    • Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks in the class 12th. However, it is 40% for the reserved category.
    • The aspirant must have passed in English with a minimum of 30% marks.
  • For Pharmacy Courses
    • Aspirants must have passed class 12th with Chemistry and Physics along with Mathematics/Biology
    • Candidates must have obtained at least 45% marks in the class 12th. However, it is 40% for the reserved category.
    • The aspirant must have passed in English with a minimum of 30% marks.

WBJEE Registration 2019

Candidates will register themselves first in order to fill up the application form. So, the candidate will complete the process of registration. These are some simple steps. Here, steps to complete the process of registration is mentioned below:

  • Apply for online registration
  • Fill the online application form
  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature
  • Pay the exam fee
  • Download the confirmation page

It will generate the application ID and Password.

WBJEE 2019 – Application Fees

Use the application ID and password to complete the application form. It is also compulsory to make the payment for exam fee otherwise, the application form will not be considered as the complete one.

JEE Main 2019

The application fee is RS 500 + service charge. It will be paid via Net Banking/Credit Card/ Debit Card. On making the online payment, a confirmation page will be generated. Download the same for future reference.

WBJEE Exam Pattern 2019

The exam will be conducted in offline mode. There will be two papers which will be as follows:

  • Paper 1: Mathematics
  • Paper 2: Physics and Chemistry (combines)

Paper 1 and 2 are for the admission in Pharmacy/Technology/ Architecture/ Engineering courses. Paper 2 is for the admission in the Pharmacy courses only.

All questions in the exam will be Multiple Choice Questions Type in which every question will have four options and only one option will be the correct answer. Negative marking is there. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. It is applicable in all three categories.

WBJEE Admit Card 2019

WBJEE admit card 2019 will be available on the official website. Applicants need to enter login information to download the admit card. It is an important document and it must be carried in the exam hall. The invigilator will not allow any applicant to appear in the exam hall if he/she found to be without WBJEE admit card.

WBJEE Cut Off 2019

WBJEE cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that is required to qualify the exams. So, in order to pass the entrance exam, one needs to attain cut off marks. It will be different for pharmacy and engineering courses. Authorities decide the cut off on the basis of different factors. The difficulty level of WBJEE exam, the total number of candidates appeared in the exam and a total number of seats available for the courses plays the role in deciding the cutoff.

WBJEE Counseling 2019

Counseling will be done on the basis of PMR. It will not on the category ranks. Qualified candidates will attend counseling.  Seat allotment will be done in this counseling. Qualified candidates need to bring their original documents in the counseling for document verification.

WBJEE Result 2019 and WBJEE Merit List 2019

There will be two merit ranks. One will be General Merit Rank (GMR) and another is Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR).

GMR will be prepared on the basis of the marks scored in Paper 1 and Paper 2 together. It is applicable for the admission in Engineering/ Architecture/Technology and Pharmacy courses in Jadavpur University related courses. Reserved category candidates will have separate merit position such as PwD rank, SC Rank, ST Rank and so on.

Pharmacy Merit Rank will be on the basis of score obtained in Paper 2 that is Chemistry and Physics. It will be for the admission in Pharmacy courses excluding Jadavpur University.
